Wood Pellets A Healthier Fuel
Have you ever been in your car and watched as someone drives past you in a blur of black, noxious smoke that seems to billow all around your
car? What's worse is when you might just happen to have your window open in a situation such as this.
Or for some of us who live in colder parts of the country, you might happen to see billowing black smoke coming from chimneys on a cold winter
day.
There has to be some other way to fuel our homes and vehicles without all of the nasty smoke that can't be good for the environment.
Although scientists are still working on a better fuel source for vehicles, there might be such a breakthrough for fueling your home.
The answer to this dilemma is wood pellets. You might wonder what exactly a wood pellet is and what it's used for. Wood pellets are made by
compressed sawdust and shavings that are normally considered a waste product.
Wood pellets or Holzpellets are deemed to be a healthier fuel source by many in Sweden. They are a new form of biofuel technology and
can be used to fuel residences and other small scales areas.
They can be burnt in burner, boilers, or stoves and are a great way to help heat your home.
What's also great about wood pellets as a healthier fuel is that they down produce the nasty thick smoke you see coming out of a lot of
chimneys when regular wood is burnt, they produce low emissions into the air.
Unlike fossil fuels, wood pellets are a renewable source of energy. They can be specifically made and re-grown to replace what has been used.
Fossil fuels on the other hand are not a renewable source of energy.
The earth only makes so much natural resources and once the earth is tapped out, that resource is gone until the earth makes more, which can
take thousands of years. Through studying the use of wood pellets as a healthier fuel in Sweden, it has also been found that using wood pellets
is more cost effective than using fossil fuels.
It's found that wood pellets are convenient and easy to use. Transportation is much easier, and probably safer that other forms of fuel, and
it's also quite simple to place into burners.
So far the use of wood pellets in Sweden is increasing due to the obvious economical advantages as well as environmental advantages.
Who knows if wood pellets are going to be the biofuel of the future around the world? Possibly after much needed research into this new form
of fuel is conducted, the answers to many questions will be clearer.
Hopefully if there is a healthier form of fuel such as wood pellets available that is deemed environmentally safe, it will be encouraged to
use such a source of fuel for homes and businesses. For the sake of the environment and the air we have to breathe that we find some other
sources of fuel to meet our needs.
It's both important and necessary; hopefully the future will shed some light into wood pellets as a source of fuel.
